Hey guys: I got pulled over this weekend for supposedly not having a front place (NJ - Palisades Interstate Parkway). No ticket but I don't want to give the police free cause to pull me over again so I'm considering putting on the front plate. Does anyone have any tips regarding the 3M process - the type of tape I should buy, suggestions how to mount (obviously I don't want the plate to rub up on my bumper), and how well the thing will stay together? Anyone have problems with the tape when it was time to remove it? Yes, I did an advanced search on this topic and came up empty. Thanks!!! Ken
Make an adhesive replica of plate and apply it. That way it can mold to the contours. Or you could double side tape the real plate to the bumper. Any way you slice it removal of a strong tape on the 3M will probably damage it. There probably are several suggestions that others have done for your specific model of car.
