    Hello all,

    3rd Annual "Best of Britain" Motorcar Show
    Rolls-Royce ~ Bentley ~ Aston Martin

    While this is not a CAFE event, I know a number of you own one of these marques or you have friends who would enjoy participating. Plus, many of you have come out the past couple years and enjoyed the day with us. We look forward to having you join us once again!

    Seems kind of losing the plot to have a Best of British car show overlap with the best British car show - Goodwood Festival of Speed.

    Was happy to be able to stop by the event. Some very nice vehicles there, as Kevin did his usual hard work in getting enthusiast together to enjoy special cars.

    I took a few pics. Kevin, the man, is featured on one of the photos. The gratuitous Aston Vantage closeup is of my car with the stately 1948 Rolls in the background. Not a ton of cars but there were some very nice ones. Lots of Rolls and a couple of Bentley's. The food was great at Big Ben Pub. I thanked Kevin for his work and for keeping all of us up to date on local happenings via his e-mail list.

    Great pics! I rarely ever see older Rolls-Royces and Bentleys in the Charlotte area, just newer ones.

    Also, sort of off topic, but did you happen to attend C&C Cornelius a couple months back? There was a silver V8 Vantage there with the same wheels.

    I don't keep cars a long time so I go through many of them. Since I have been a Porsche club member since 1978, many of my past cars have been Porsche's. I traded a 2007 Porsche 997 for the Aston.

    This car is a joy to drive. I love the exhaust sound, the interior is very rich looking, it is very comfortable to drive for long distances, the AC works great and, I agree, it is a beautiful car. The yellow 2015 V12 Vantage S sitting next to my car has tons of power and the car has been upgraded since my 2007 model year. However, basically, the body is the same and they are still building it. At least for another year. Which means my nine year old car still looks current. It is the most impressive car I have owned to date. I make excuses to drive it!!!
