    Anyone up for doing something Thursday afternoon after the pit walkabout?

    I'm sure Indiana can sell beer after noon on a weekday ! Anyone got a suggestion? I only know of one or two of the establishments right outside the track.... ;)

    Looks like we'll be under 30, but the first 30 users there will receive a very high quality black shirt just like the Race Team shirts, but they will say "3rd Annual Indy Gathering - June 19th, 2004" instead of "Race Team". Any extras we'll hand out to kids and significant others.

    I'll be right behind ya Rob. We're driving straight through from New Orleans. Should hit Indy 7-ish. BTW, where is everybody staying? I got a killer web deal at the Holiday Inn on Keystone. It's about 5-10 min from the back gate of the track! See y'all there!

    Dave i will be staying at the same place i was at last year near the airport. nothing fancy but a lot of the marshalls stayed there last year so it was coll to talk with them as they unwound after the long day.

    I guess i should not complain since i am only paying $34 a night as i booked the room the second i heard that the race date was being moved to June :)

    The worse part of my travels is that i will be flying in and out of Louisville with an hour half layover in St. Louis.

    I would be flying also but I do not think that I can get a plane ticket or hotel room this late. Road trips are always fun though and my wife has given me the go-ahead. Great car and no plans, you can't beat that!

    Never say never... I have heard that there are rooms avaliable in Indy and lots of Tickets avaliable still. Every year the attendance has been lower and lower.

    no doubt. i've bought great seats on friday morning. there are many tickect vendors seliing tickets at face price. as for a hotel, get a yellows pages on line and start with a. you'll be surprised how easy it is to find a room.

    No doubt... you can't use hotel rooms as an excuse. Just go to your favorite travel site (orbitz, yahoo travel...) and you can find rooms. Pricing isn't great, but I'm in the process of getting rooms 15 miles from the track. Not bad!

    I'll be in Indianapolis about mid-day Friday the 18. Actually if you guys have a gathering place there it would be fun getting to know someone.

    For the race I decide to be on the new Corner 6 Terrace, I think it should be a good spot.
