It's a nice day here in the Portland area, so I figured I'd take the Ferrari to work with me today. Did great in traffic - worked flawlessly as a 'commuter' car. No high temps, idled great, etc. However, once I got it parked at my office, it spit about 8-10 ounces of coolant onto the parking lot. I have not been able to go out and pop the hood yet, as I had a conference call scheduled this morning. When I do go out, what should I look for? Any probable cause? Anyone care to speculate?

    Thanks,

Is it behind the left rear wheel? Probably comming from your coolant tank overflow tube. Do a search on burping or bleeding the cooling system. Also make sure your expansion tank is not over filled. I had this problem with mine and it turned out to be a bad coolant tank cap. I was told not to get a OE cap 'cause they're junk and don't last long. However, after using brand X I went back to the OE cap and have had no problems since.

Yep - that's exactly where it is. I'm also parked slightly uphill - don't know if this contributed, or not. Thanks for the info - I'll take a look at lunch.

I had the same issue and it was the same solution on my part. try that first since it is least expensive.

It could be just your expansion tank is full of watter/coolant and the system just took some out, it does that everytime it's full.
It should be only be about half way to allow for expansion this is why they called it expansion tank. And I'm sure that's all it is
    since you're not overheating.

More pressure on the cap just makes the air in your system expand less, and perhaps, spit less, but the air is still in there. If you have not bleed the system, I would start there.

Hi, the coolant in to the reservoir has to be 16 cm below the head of the cap. Also make sure you bleed the system (bolt on top of the waterpump and on top/right side radiator. To make sure water is bleeding put some extra in the reservoir.
