Do any of you know the technical differences of the 355 and the F50 bypass valve? Why would the F50 BPV work better/last longer than the 355 BPV?

Ferrari Engineering Department figured out what a crappy design the 355 was and changed it going forward I know its a radical concept but could be?

Making a vacuum bypass sound better than using a wire. Any way to control the vacuum while driving. It sounds as if it would be possible to manually control the solenoid valve. Would be great to manually select setting. I Really like the option of driving home late at night without disturbing all the neighbors :)

Guess a ball valve with a purge button would work!!! I will look for one.

check the solenoid is working before going to any expense, it operates the valve, if you lie down at the back of your car its at the bottom right hand side near the exhaust tail pipes look undneath and you will find a black and a blue multi plug each one is attached to a small plastic cylinder shaped solenoid, the terminals are prone to corrosion, pop them off and spray with wd40 and try again. hope this helps, i was the same mate i was gutted at the prospect of shelling out big bucks for a new diaphram or valve and it cost me £2.00 for a can of wd40 and it cured my problem!!!! good luck

If you find a ball valve that works, please write back.
