I have 12 years and about 45K miles driving 3 308's and 2 328's. None ever left me calling for a tow, though a couple of close calls. My first 328's water pump started leaking on my drive home with it from Atlanta to Colorado, but I was able to make it home. It was original with 33K on it so was on "borrowed time" already. The same car broke a clutch cable with at about 40K. This would leave most people calling for a tow but my old truck driving skills of clutchless shifting got me to a mechanic. Good maintenance and monitoring of weak spots should keep you motoring happy. They are all getting old, so special attention to fuel, water and brake lines is highly recommended.

I have decided after reading the fuel line disasters that it is not worth the risk to take my car this weekend. Does anyone have the information on all of the fuel lines for the 328, a diagram of their location, and where is the best place to purchase them? I plan on doing it on some down time in the next few weeks. I attempted to pull up the diagram from the Ferrari owners site but it would not let me enlarge the diagram screen. Thanks for your help.

Lower cam drive bearings (rear bank on mine). They WILL break. Mine went at 44K miles. You have very little time, once you can hear it over the engine, before it fails completely causing a "catastrophic" failure. How's that for a chicken little post?

I forgot the flywheel sensors. The will go too and take half the engine with it.

I've had my car 3 years.
    Melted an alt/wp belt.
Fixed about 75% of the oil leaks.
Replaced electric door locks (added remote, jc whitney)
CIS computer (for frequency valve) failed.

All and all, I'd say very reliable.

Does it seem to happen with miles or years? Just curious as my belt change comes up in 2 years and I am thinking on a little project creep at that time and may just replace them to be safe?
