I often read many posts about people afraid to take their F355's out and actually drive them. I just wanted to assure everyone that these cars are designed to be driven! My F355 spider is part of my rental fleet so it is not only driven but probably driven harder than a personal car may be... Anyways in the last 45 days it has been driven 4,000 miles with only a minor power steering fluid leak. In the other 13,800 miles put on in the last 10 months I've had some minor issues (convertible latch broken, driven with parking brake engaged, new clutch, etc.) but it's a great car and I always makesure everything is maintained properly.

I think these cars could be pushed to 100,000 miles easily, and that's what the F-service dept and the independent F-tech that's been working on the car assures me.

Imagine that, a Ferrari that's driven hard, driven often, properly maintained, and has yet to plague you with any real issues. It's always been a mystery to me why many owners don't exercise their cars on a ROUTINE basis. From my personal experience in the F-car repair industry, I commonly see non-driven cars in the shop for issues far more frequently than the cars that I know are being driven. Owners should be more afraid of leaving their cars parked in a garage versus driving them from a repair cost standpoint. My father and I have racked up 34k on his '95 355B and the car couldn't be any stronger. It's driven a good and hard 2-3 times a week in every season and performs flawlessly in the wet. Thanks for sharing, and be sure to enjoy many more miles in your spider!

nice to hear, thanks for posting. I hope I can make the 100,000 mark in my 95 B. (Currently 28,500, I drive it about 5 days a week)

Put about 5k miles on mine from Oct - now. Haven't driven it much lately, the novelty of it is starting to wear off but I'm still doing at least 3-4 days a week, so I'll hit about 6-7k miles a year. They really are solid cars when they are driven, now when they sit in a garage for months at a time, not so much.

Me too! I've had my '95 B for about 3mo. and put 2500 miles on it. I just got it back from the shop today (new clutch) and plan on driving her all week (weather permitting)
