LOL...........where do you see me?........I'm not in any of those pics. Gentlemen, that was an amazing day! I don't think we could have asked for better weather or turn out. I'll be reliving that close call with the troopers in my mind for a while. The cool thing is that Dan got it all on video. Copies please! Albert......gorgeous CS! Steve......SIC F40!.....and nice to finally meet you. In fact Andrew and I think that should be your license plate for the F40.....SIC!!!!
Here's a few close up shots. 1. Killer IHI turbos 2. WIDE ass tires 3. Thru the looking glass 4. CS stopping power
Armen, there were discussions last year about doing a "North meets South" run/drive and meeting halfway in-between. I'm sure it could be done if organized properly. You in?
Andrew, Halfway point would be southern Oregon or Northern California. I'm sure the F-Chatters in those areas will also be interested in a get together.
Going over my photos, I noticed this on the right engine panel in Albert's Stradale. An autograph from MS?
i overheard the young gas station attendant tell his co-worker how fortunate they were to have all these ferraris (12+ cars) make a pit stop there. the guy was ecstatic! he had an f40 model as a kid.
Yeh, we'd probably include both the Canadian, WA, and OR groups as "North" and then meet up with the "South" to include North CA and South CA club members. That would be an awesome event!!
Being the only yellow car on this run (Stewart, HELP!) I figured I would be an easy target. Nice to see nobody got pulled over and no accidents! Maybe we'll get a summons in the mail. :0
It's too bad we couldn't have stayed around Semiahmoo a little longer. I think word got around that some kids got rides. I saw a few youngsters with that 'look' in there eyes. I for one wouldn't mind at all, to plant a little seed, to let them know they could have one too (or whatever they want) if they work at it.
First, I will start by thanking the Fchat community at Semiahmoo to make me feel welcomed, even after a hour and a half wait at the border that resulted in me being late for the lunch. Thanks again! It was nice meeting all of you and it was even nice to tag along the drive afterwards. Kuzi's tubi'ed spider looked and sounded fabulous. On the long straights after the scenic drive, he got on it and I did as well but I had to back off because the 360's underbody tunnels were acting like a vaccum for anything on the ground and was shooting it up in the air, even a couple hundred feet behind I was geting rocks and dust thrown at me...wowza! The F40, well it was definitly one of the rarest car's I've ever seen in person. It sounded so subdued at idle but I'm sure that when you open it up, it has to scream! Looking forward to another drive with the F40. The 360 CS definitly impressed me the most. The new front bumper and side panels definitly were a must on the 360 and it makes the 360 look really muscular in comparison to the other exotics in its class. WOW at the F355's exhaust sound. I followed one with Tubi's out of Semiahmoo and then got passed by one on the scenic drive...what a sound. Unfortunately, me and the blue F355 spider caught this idiot on I-5, he tried to push it off the road and the 355 had one half of it on the rumble strips and the grass...it created a huge cloud of dust and rocks in front of me. Most of the time, I don't worry about my driving, it's the way other every day drivers drive that bothers me! Anyways, here are the pictures. Thanks and I'll see all of you soon!
This is so weird, must be lint or something cos' when I take a good look, there's nothing there. Mysterious...
Vancooper, It was nice to have you join us for lunch and drive. Great pictures! I got distracted when I saw you taking pictures near the freeway entrance and took the wrong road with the caravan in tow. Boy, was I embarrassed!
