Agree. I'd love a tiny phone... that syncs via bluetooth to my iPad Air automatically... and I pay 1 cell/data plan to power both devices. I just ordered a 64gb 4.7" this morning... delivers 9/16.

Because it is. That's why BMW.sauber and I were discussing it. It's nearly half an inch larger than my 4.7" moto that was released two years ago, and barely smaller than my S5. Wtf was apple thinking? To me it looks like they didn't want to change. If they did the front of the phone would look refreshed.
My Google Nexus 5 is almost the exact same dimensions as the iPhone 6 and exact weight, but a 5" screen. For me, it can be hard to reach some portions of the screen with just my thumb. It fits in my pocket, but still kinda large. I couldn't imagine going larger, but I think anyone that is below average size (clothing and hand size), won't like the iPhone 6 as far as ease of use and carrying/storage ability.
Most of these new phones are more efficient, and with the larger size so goes the battery. Have a Note 3 and love the large screen.
For those who preordered, which method did you use? I tried Apple's online store and got the "We'll Be Back" message (read it didn't come back up until around 3am PST). Tried AT&T's...constant crashing. I eventually used the Apple Store app on my iPhone...got it preordered on my very first attempt. Regular 6, 64gb, gold. This was my first time preordering anything from Apple, and I have a question (that might sound a little stupid). In my order status, it says it delivers "9/19 by standard shipping". Does that mean I get it on the 19th, or will it ship out on the 19th? Also, I am having it shipped to my house. Image Unavailable, Please Login

I'd expect it much sooner. I always so standard mail when I order anything off bodybuilding.com, and receive it 2 days later. I would expect apple to work similarly.

I dont want to give your hopes up either, but it wouldn't surprise me. I'm just not site when apple will start sending them out. It seems like in years past those that preordered had their phones a few days early. Btw, is there really a 4" IP6? Had a semi debate at dinner tonight. I thought there was, but when I went to the apple site there's no 4" option.
The only time I will be disappointed is if I don't have it on the 19th. Also, my order status today was changed from "processing" to "preparing to ship".
Received an email from Verizon that my 6 should be here on Friday whereas a good friends 6 plus is delayed through October.
Yes I've also heard the pluses are shipping later. A coworker of mine preordered before I did and got a delivery date in October for a plus. For the 4.7, sept 19th no problem.
Nope. 4.7 is the "smallest" you can do...... Seems they've addressed the "I want a huge screen" cries. Maybe next they'll address the "I want it teeny" cries! I'm thinking that's what they believe the watch addresses (?) Cheers, Ian
Apple website still shows my order as preparing for shipment. Yet, I discovered a method that lets you see if its been shipped. Turns out it was shipped yesterday via UPS. Not sure if it works with other carriers, like FedEx.
Very cool! Didn't know that! [Does it also show an expected delivery date?] I buy much stuff via Amazon, and they often state 'preparing for shipment'. Then it seems their systems catch up, and it's already well on it's way to me. I'll have to try that next time. Thanks for the insight. Cheers, Ian
No projected date of delivery, but it's being shipped via UPS Next Day Air Saver according to the app.
I found another way to find out if your iPhone has shipped...go to supportprofile.apple.com, login with your Apple ID, and look at all of your products. If an iPhone 6 is in there, it's on its way. You can even get the serial for it too. Also, something weird...according to the tracking page on UPS' website, apparently the label was created on the 15th, and it said the order "was ready for UPS". My phone didn't start heading toward me until this evening. Apple's website? Yeah...still says it hasn't shipped. But I have a tracking number, so it's all good. Estimated delivery is the 19th (as expected), package is 1.3lbs.
