I've owned a bunch of cars but I've never had a bigger case of 'while you're in there' than with this 400. Oh well, it's not like I could drive it this weekend anyway... Now that my headers are out and there's soooo much room under the hood I've discovered that my steering shaft has a few mm of play and could use a new bearing, the power steering pump has been oozing for years. The search on this site hasn't revealed any info on replacement of the bearing but maybe I've missed it. Has anyone done this job?

San Jose CA. does my tough stuff in the USA. right now they are working on a 1942 Clark USAF Planeloader. box. I have two of these fork trucks that I use daily! it will be fixed and returned soon and fixed correctly. at a reasonable price. if u need this help you can use my account. but you will not be given a quote. just pay my cost. this is a real mfg. they can and will actually make steering worms and sector shafts one at a time if needed. and no BS and cheap how much customer is allowed.

Maybe I wasn't clear in my post. The pump is leaking so I will try to source a seal kit from ZF. Separately, the bearings where the steering shaft (from wheel to u-joint) the bullhead seem worn as there is a fair amount of play in the shaft. I know that I can adjust the box to take out some play but the wheel moves in all directions indicating a bad bearing. At least it's a bearing, my TR6 has a nylon bushing...at any rate, I appreciate your offer for the box rebuild but that's not what I need. Obviously, I can't send the steering shaft to Brent.
