In the box of bits that came with my car there's a Weber 40 DCNF 12/QIJ carb.
Has anyone any idea if this model was ever put in Dinos by the facatory?
    Thanks in advance

The dino Compendium has the carbs listed as dcnf 7. My manual lists them as 40 dcnf 13 but here must have been variations throughout the build. The important bit is the right jetting etc, check it out thoroughly and get them proffesionally done as well. If not they WILL give you major grief. Also watch out for repros on the web too, they are not cheap and crap.

Dont know what the QIJ stands for.

Do you only have one as you could struggle to start it:)

Don't know if these are two different things (since I can't recall if there was a suffix shown), but 40DCNF12 carbs (purchased new circa 1990) had four physical differences to the 40DCNFXX set that came on my ex-308:

    1. 4-bolt top cover instead of 5-bolt top cover,

    2. Choke lever mechanism worked in opposite manner for pull vs push,

    3. Idle mixture screws angled in different directions (but these probably would be for a 2X6 vs a 308).

    4. Air horns on top not removable.

Fiat Dino was DCNF12 or DCNF 22/23 same jetting except for starter jet, the Fiat was 0.75 F5, dino 246 was 0.60F6 (USA idle jets were 0.55)
