Mike or Henry..... I may have missed it earlier but what location/timing info is predetermined or TBD later for Oct 4? Any other meeting or socials Sat evening and other times around the "main gathering"? Eric
Hello Hutch! Here's the flyer for the event and sorry for no time indicated. The time will be from 8:00 to whenever. And, if anyone are up to it, we plan to do a little drive somewhere along PCH for lunch. Image Unavailable, Please Login
For anyone coming from the North that morning, how about a meet up in Sherman Oaks for a drive in together? Right near where the 405 and 101 intersect, there is a Whole Foods. Exit the Valley Vista/Sepulveda off ramp off the 405 which is just south of the 101. make a left off the off ramp and a another left onto Sepulveda. Whole Foods is two blocks down. Meet in the parking lot at 7:30? Please let me know if anyone wants to meet. I don't want to be the only one siting there.

I just spoke to Dana Williamson the collection manager of Petersen Automotive Museum in LA where one of the Magnum PI 308 are being display. Mr. Williamson said there is a big possibility that they will bring the 308 for our event. I believe that this is the same 308 that was displayed over at the 60th anniversary in Beverly Hills last year. Keep fingers cross and hope they bring it out. He will call me early next week to confirm.
Sweet! As a further incentive for those on the fence about bringing their car, I'm going to bring my quadcopter and film some nice aerials of the event (photo and video). Warren.
We figured out a solution to arrive, share & drive . 1st public viewing and driving event since project inception mid last year! Stoked to join & contribute to a great event. Maybe we will have a public weigh in vs an OEM 308? i can bring the corner scale as this has been a major project objective. Very curious cat! Henry - How OEM is your 308? Want to weigh in (full tanks required.....)? PM me. I can say that I was sub OEM curb weight (which as i understand is @3250lbs wet USA model) with only a few items missing..... Engine lid, 1 seat, and some wiring. Plus an original will give us corner weights. live. Kind of cool and really easy with our equipment. Good use of time on Sunday with a coffee and witnesses. It looks like you kept the original 308 parking brake through the conversion. Some models use a 2x4 ask the factory what is correct for your year.
Good observation to detail Brian! The pine 4x4 extra dry is a solid performer. Crank winch to lower. Also has pedals inside. And a hole in the floor for a foot/shoe brake.
LOL! In the early 80s my husband had an Alfa 105 with a brick on a string that was the parking brake. You drove up, moved forward a bit, chucked out the brick (kept behind the drivers seat) and rolled back onto it. Leaving, you inched forward, reeled the brick back with the string and all good to go!
Update on shirts: Presented with BACK and SLEEVE this morning. Will see the front (different printing process) on Wednesday. Looking good ! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Cool Shirts too.... Looking good on arriving Sunday... have a lot of work to do yet but the crew is kicking ass on the project... Drove it tonight around the building a couple times..... unreal. Going to have a temporary 30 day permit Thursday so we can have some fun in Santa Monica.... BAR meeting next week to check emissions on the "restored" title.... The fellow may be confused
On Oct. 2, 1975, the Pininfarina-designed Ferrari 308 was unveiled to the world. On Oct. 2, 2015, I'll be picking up our t-shirts.
I'm coming from Santa Barbara, probably/hopefully with others. Don't know if we are going to take PCH down or not...
60% chance of showers overnight and into the morning Sunday-> We all know what happens to 308s when exposed to a bit of moisture... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yeah, we get more competitive on track...others can't put down all their horsepower. As long as this event happens...I'll be there. Henry
