I drove this car years ago, and I was curious to know if anybody knew it's whereabouts now. It was for sale at the time because the owner was in bad health for a very low price.

Aside from being a convertible, she was also an automatic with a wooden steering wheel. As in the entire wheel was made out of wood...

    Sound familiar to anyone?

Hey Kurt! Thanks for the input boss, but unfortunately she ain't it. :)
The one I drove had the entire steering wheel made of wood. Interesting after market addition. Black interior if I'm not mistaken.

I purchased the Ferrari 400i in question from "Bundas" from this site. To renew the story I bought it sight unseen from a few poor pictures and a mans word. I had it delivered to Hershey 2 years ago during the Hershey car show. I had my car hauler deliver it to Seattle and gave it to my wife for her 50something birthday.

We have driven more than 2000 trouble free miles, not once putting the top up. No real issues or problems so far. However its a Ferrari and only time will tell what might happen next. Candy alternates betwen a couple of Ferrari's a Maserati Spider, and her latest a Lotus Turbo Esprit.

The Ferrari 400i, I must say is her favorite road car. She seems to drive too fast and scares the hell out of me. We have had several longer excursions with wonderful results as well as some city driving. My favorite response from a young man was, after looking at the 400i from a short distance and then driving away and then returning to look again, he yelled to me "thats the coolest Camero I've ever seen"
