I don't know if anyone on the board does, but there are several around in Portland.

Actually, I know Mr. Tonkin has a 400.

Brian, are you looking for a 400i? There is a 1983 400i 5 speed currently listed in the Vacnouver (BC) Sun. I think it is located in Kamloops, BC. Asking price is about $39K. I have no affiliation with the owner or the car, but I have some information about the car from when it was for sale about 3 years ago in Abbotsford (outside Vancouver, BC). Jon

Wow, yes I've been casually looking for the right 400i 5-speed for quite some time (I have specific color requirements).....and 3-5 years ago, $39k Canadian wouldn't be that bad. But now that there's currency parity, wow cars in Canada are EXPENSIVE! :) I'll take a look though. Maybe it's a cherry of car worth mid-30s, that wouldn't be out of the question, even in the US.

Oh wow...the Canadian car is a 5-speed and it's grey. No picture, only Ferrari on driving.ca without a picture. haha.

Do you remember what the interior color is? Mind PMing me with the further info you know? Thanks for the heads up...

Yes, F-cars are more expensive in Canada probably due to supply and the to the number of years for which the foreign exchange rate was hard on the Canadian dollar.

Here are some pictures that the previous owner provided to me when the car was for sale in late 2004 - assuming it is the same car (I believe it is). I was told that the car was originally imported to the US and ceritfied by Trend Imports, Long Beach, CA. I have a number of adidtional photos. Unfortunately I don't have the VIN. If you're interested send a PM. Once again, I have never actually seen the car. I have spoken with the person who I think is currently advertising it, but that was sometime ago, two years ago. And once again, I have no connection to the car or to the past and present owners. Personally, I've liked 2+2's going back to the 250 and 330 series, but at this time I would prefer to find a decent driver 328.

    Cheers
    Jon

I remember that car. I talked to the owner. A Italian gentleman who had it restored if I remember correctly.
I almost flew up to look at it before I found my blue 5-speed. I remember thinking it was a very nice example.

+1! I have always like a Lipstick Red interior. Looks nice on that silver exterior too! Probably look even better on black, but that does look like a NICE CAR!

Ugh. LOVE the exterior color, that is my top choice 400i exterior color. Was at least hoping it was the black/red interior, but no go. The entire interior being red I just can't handle. Can't stand the painted bumpers either. Call me a traditionalist or something.....

Looks like a beautiful car though. The search goes on.....
