Come on guys. This was 12 years ago, and my first Ferrari....... Actually, after 3 months I did take them off. I still have great memories of the car. It had a great sound and the 5 speed gearbox was just great for the car.
Please explain why as I thought we are all entitled to our opinion thus it's neither right or wrong because it's just an opinion?
Sheilds are the symbol of the racing team and belong on the racing cars are at leaset cars that raced or could be raced, They just look really out of place on a sedan. But it is a personal car and you could put flowers on it I guess to.
Oh it's not joke! a recent study found that 38% of people are in fact not entitled to their own opinion CHICAGOIn a surprising refutation of the conventional wisdom on opinion entitlement, a study conducted by the University of Chicago's School for Behavioral Science concluded that more than one-third of the U.S. population is neither entitled nor qualified to have opinions. "On topics from evolution to the environment to gay marriage to immigration reform, we found that many of the opinions expressed were so off-base and ill-informed that they actually hurt society by being voiced," said chief researcher Professor Mark Fultz, who based the findings on hundreds of telephone, office, and dinner-party conversations compiled over a three-year period. "While people have long asserted that it takes all kinds, our research shows that American society currently has a drastic oversupply of the kinds who don't have any good or worthwhile thoughts whatsoever. We could actually do just fine without them." In 2002, Fultz's team shook the academic world by conclusively proving the existence of both bad ideas during brainstorming and dumb questions during question-and-answer sessions. http://www.theonion.com/content/news_briefs/study_38_percent_of_people
My bad I missed the sarcasm, sorry. I'm just not a big fan or user of sarcasm so I have a tendency of missing it.
Wow...that is perfect information. You'd think it would be obvious but until you said it, it wasn't to me. The bolded section makes sense as to the lower pricing and was the light bulb above my head. As I've been looking at other Ferrari models (and Lamborghini, I admit) I find myself attracted to the 2+2's, particularly the older models like the 400 and 412. First, it was the Mondial but the GT4 is visually better to me and now I'm eye-balling these larger sedans. I like the pictures of Ferrari next to modern cars as it gives me a better sense of their size. Yes, I have seen these cars in the metal but mostly in a group setting (like a show) and not "in the wild" Except for their owners, these sedans seem to be under appreciated. The fact that owners use them as [almost?] daily-drivers, I find stunning, particularly in road-salting regions!! That makes me cringe
New to the list and this has been a VERY GOOD thread! Thanks for my fellow Texan for starting it. We are about the same age and apparently on the same track of being tired of NOT owning an F-car! I have need for the 400 due to being in a wheelchair and needing the room for that and the auto trans. Can't wait to become an owner but like so many I am NOT in a big hurry on this either!
Pcar928fan, Do you have use of your legs? I ask because I seem to remember a 400 with hand controls that was for sale (it was either a 400 or as TR). I don't know if it is still around or if has been reconverted. If you don't need hand controls, you might as well find a nice 400A and buy it now. Kraig's car was very clean and went for less than $20k and a really nice car sold for $27k at Forza in CT. In this case, the car you want is inexpensive to buy, just buy a good one because they are NOT inexpensive to maintain or restore. Regards, Art S.
Thanks Art. Yea, that is one of the reasons why I am looking now...not sure they will get much cheaper than they are now...heck, unless they were GIVING THEM AWAY the 400's could hardly get any cheaper. I do not have use of my legs, but the handcontrols that I use are totally and easily moveable from one car to another. I used fixed controls in my company car (daily driver) and my race car but all the rest of my cars share one set of controls that I just take with me from car to car! I'll check on those you talked about. I did find one up in the NE that was sold for under $25k that was SUPER CLEAN looking, Red with a VERY NICE tan and black interior. I had never seen that seat (ie. daytona style) on a 400 and that car looked spectacular! Wish I could have got that one! Thanks again, James
