400i Ser.1 fuse boxes

    It may be time to inspect the fuse boxes on my 1980 Ser. 1 400i...No specific problems as yet, but I'd like to know what I'm looking at before I start..Does anyone in our "Brotherhood" have pictures of the boxes..(both front and back of both boxes)(right and left)..also, do they have any fuses linked together..ect...any and all help is welcommed and appreciated..thank you all in advance..Jacques..

    If you go to www.400register.com you can download the 400i user manual at no charge. You will find the pages showing the fuse locations. Also note, that under the floor bard on the passenger side you find relays and connection terminals. The terminal having all the cables go through it is weak and you may conisder replacing it with a screw type terminal at some point. Hope this helps.

    I couldnt restart my 400i in the middle of a journey. After 2 hours of investigation with the AA man we located the issue as a burnt connection which was not allowing power through it to the ignition relays. My winter project is to dab Stabilant (current enhancer, NATO approved) liquid on such critical electrical areas. I had it in the boot and a few dabs here and there and I was on my way.

    Recommend a good clean with electrical contact cleaner and stabilant tratment and you should be trouble free (as far as Ferrari ownership goes) See thread on Stabilant on sources etc.
