    Providing that the motor and trans checks out and there aren't any rust issues, at that price, what's not to like? Well, besides the TRXs ;)

    That's a lot of great car for the money, if it checks out at all. The car photographs very well. I wouldn't be afraid of the salvage title in that car at that price, as it really won't ever negatively affect the car's value more than it already has. It also shouldn't be difficult to sell the car in the future with the salvage title, as many "budget" first-time Ferrari buyers who are often attracted to the Mondials will be most concerned with price and are more willing to overlook the salvage title.

    Keep in mind, however, that even though the car costs $15,500, it very well may need $10k in maintenance. (Probably not, but it will surely be over $5k.) This means that, at the least, the car's total cost will be somewhere between $20k and $25k. With the salvage title, it would be difficult to sell the car for more than $20k. (Of course, if you do the work yourself than the numbers change dramatically.) Still, you buy the car for $15.5k, put some money into it to bring the rubber (belts, hoses, tires, etc.) up to date, drive it for five years and sell it for $15.5k. Barring anything "bad" happening, you'll only be out one to two thousand a year. Not bad. Better yet, buy the car, maintain it, and keep it forever. Then the title issue becomes a non-issue.

    Oh, Wade is right. The metric wheels and tires must go.

    Very true. And, once you're into it for $25K, you could have bought a non-salvage title car. The sale price on their website is also $15,500; depending on the last belt service and other needs, you might be better off paying a little more and getting a non-salvage car. If they came down on the price, I would def think about that car.

    You could buy my 88 for $25.5. Its an 88 half the miles at 24k. Black metallic/tan, clean title, 16" wheels. Won Platinum twice and gold once in 3 FCA shows. Needs belt service though. Salvage title will hurt resale hence the low price. Oh, and most everyone who says they are never selling thier car does sooner or later.

    Hello,

    I just got a e-mail from the seller regarding the last "major" service;

    ***************************

    The last major service or belt service was done in 2008 with 58k miles on the car.

    Thanks.

    If it were me I'd want to see the fine print on that. Too often the belts were "inspected" instead of being replaced. If it's truly the former then be carefull.
