Speculation but carguy246 might have considered a box of smog parts and related as a project. My belief is that he is into completely pristine cars. Also know that he was wondering if he would like the 412 experience versus his 308QV.

    Hey Guys,

You sound like my wife saying that I can't possibly be interested in another car when I just bought this one a few months ago. ... Anyway, I have found a couple other cars I am pursuing and put this one up for sale. It is a very nice car. With the exception of a few more paint blemishes, it is cosmetically just as nice as my 308 qv. Strangely, I have never liked the styling of these cars but bought it for the V-12, yet the styling has really grown on me. The simple elegance of the design makes me want to keep it.

As for driving, it is a great highway cruiser. The dual A/C keeps you much cooler than the A/C in my 308. But I am primarily a sports car / classic car enthusiast and this car feels big and heavy when you take it on a winding road. It really is not that big of car, but it does feel big and that would take me some getting used to. Main reason is that I have found a couple other cars that I have always wanted. If I buy any of them, I will only buy one, but it would help to sell the 412 to make room in the garage. If it doesn't sell, that is fine too ... after all, I just got it.

anyone know the ins/outs of EPA & titling this car? Wondering if/how to make sure it would be title-able, assuming the current title is clean, but no EPA paperwork included.

No pollution check in my home town, not sure if the state requires anything or not(don't think so).

My state never asked for DOT/EPA papers @ title office, no emissions here either so no problem. Have never been asked for the paperwork, even at emissions' testing fac. Their only concern seems to be if it passes, otherwise tune her up (lean out those fuel inj. richness adj. temporarily for the test, then return to 1%-2% CO).

It may well be if a car has already been titled here in the US and you are just transferring the title from an owner in one state to a new state then you don't have a problem. I don' know about that...may also be a state thing where some are more or less willing to register a gray market car.

I would not want to be on the line for bringing a car in from some other country though if they could not PROVE that the car had been DOT/EPA approved for the US at some point in the past... That is a big gamble!
