I know it’s not a true 412P….I think that there are 4 in the world. But it was an incredible Tribute car built over 10 years. David Piper provided some parts to help this car being what it is. I know…the experts will turn their nose the other way. Still….it’s gorgeous for a car that was designed 57 years ago. It deserves the Tribute honor.

If I had a spare $1.495m laying around I would love to have it!

It’s on Ferraris-OnLine we page. Well presented by Colleen Sheehan.

Very cool. I'm glad Sheehan is not presenting this car as any more than a replica.

Re the video the first mid engined Ferrari was the 246 SP and that came out in 1961. The 206SP (actually 206S) came out in 1966, not 1961 and the first mid engined Ferrari to win Le Mans was a 250P, which won in 1963, not a 250 LM, which won in 1965. The car said to be a 206 SP in the video is actually a replica based on a Dino 246 GT with the engine placed lonitudinally.

The 412 P tribute looks very nice. Not sure a Porsche G50 gearbox, which was used in a 231 HP 911 Carrera 3.2, is up to handling 600+ HP though. It needs paint too, imo.

    A flawed one at that.

Pity it's L.H.D. and centre gearchange, like so many of the Norwood P4's. The wheels don't look right either, particularly the (lack of) offset on the rears.
And what's with the unfinished paint job ?

The FORZA article includes the statements:
Then, when he came upon an unfinished Ferrari P-series replica that was in rough shape, he bought it. Unfortunately, a deep dive into the newly purchased pile of chassis tubes and fiberglass body panels led Nino to realize that finishing the car wasn’t practical, nor would it yield the result he sought. Ultimately, much of the original project was binned ....

Would that original project have been the 412P recreation started by Adrian Dyer, which appeared at Monterey in 2004 ?
That car also comprised mostly ex-Piper fibreglass panels.
