Quick list of questions (so hopefully some quick answers ) 2003 53 Car, in the UK. 1. Satnav - does it use a cd/dvd. If so can you get updated ones, can they copied (for use as backup of course) 2. Final things to look out for when buying? Recalls/Campaigns, checks on servicing etc. 3. Phone preperations - what do you reccomend - just by a sim card (do you only get little ones now or do they come credit card sized still??) ? 4. Anyone got one with an origin b2 installed - if so photos would be great. 5. Cambiflappycorsa gearbox - anything to watch out - anyway to check clutch wear prior to purchasing? 6. Hood - treatments needed or are they good and hardwearing 7. Those slits behind the handbrake/under armrest-wassat all about then? 8. Speaker upgrades - anyone done it, is it necessary? 9. Virginia Water meet in mid-september> (invite extended to Morgan owners of course) 10. Anything else? Dave
BTW, you'll get more responses on www.maseratiforum.net on these types of questions... Can't answer all ur questions, though. Had a 2003 Spyder but swapped it a few months back for a GranSport... 1) CD, other country CD's www.navteq.com [BTW, there is a European package with all Europe CD's for E275]. Yes can be backed up. Navsat not the best but works though takes a good minute to boot up... 7) One of those slots is for the navsat CD !! Or can be used as CD player 8) Yep and I can recommend the Focal 165 V2 speaker set for front doors that I have in GranSport *but* note there are issues if you have the Auditorium DSP (likely u haven't else u wouldn't be asking for upgrade)... 3) I think there is an adaptor but I didn't have the phone on my car 5) Yes, check service book and check with owner/dealer that latest software installed. 2) As long as a car is serviced regularly you can be pretty sure that all campaigns have been done. Maserati are very good about contacting folks and making sure all cars are up-to-date. There is a central DB accessible from dealers so you can check for your car. 6) My car overnighted in underground garage so ymmv 10) You might want to get the car lowered slightly...
