I Was contemplating going to a 20 inch wheel. My concern is I think I will want to lower the car a little to compensate for the larger wheel. I realize the suspension is a coil over set up, however I am concerned I will ruin my ride quality and handling once I start lowering. I was thinking at minimum I would need a different set of springs that are slightly stiffer.

How has everyone else who is running 20s experience been? These are the wheels below I would be putting on. Appreciate others chiming in with their experiences- thanks.

I had the dealer install 20” Savinos on my f430 before I picked it up...mind you I didn’t lower the car...and it rides just like it did during the multiple test drives...I love them!

Good luck with your choice, if change wheel post pics, I’d love to see how she looks :)

I have the standard 19 inch wheels. I had mine lowered years ago using the stock springs. If anything the handling was better. Its amazing what a 3/4 inch drop can do for the looks of the car. You won't be disappointed.

I have 20’s and had it lowered with the factory coil overs. I also had a 4 wheel alignment. I don’t feel I gave up ride quality. BTW, I was debating not lowering the car but it looked funny with the large gaps.

I have yet to understand people that want to do mods to a car but then say they don't want to jeopardize ride quality or reliability and then ask for everyone else's opinions o_O

Are you modding the car for you or for others ?

It's your car , just go for it !

I just don't want to create a headache with have to adjust a bunch of stuff in the suspension and start switching springs etc.

I did not have to, just find a shop that will lower using existing springs and also do an alignment. Dealership can do it, but I ended going to an independent. If you end up putting on 20's you will notice the larger gap. It will bother you...

The bigger the wheels the smaller your rotors look even worse in the rear, unless you upgrade your brakes calipers and rotors. Wend I went to 19 inc wheels with the stock brakes calipers and rotors look out of place .. Cost me 15000.00 to upgrade brakes to Carbon Ceramic kit from Ferrari

+1 on dat. Standard brakes with 19 wheels looks like fiat brakes. There's was no way I could shell out 15K for carbon brakes i went the custom route. Steel 380mm rotors 6 pot brembo's all round.

Hello everyone. I went through this dilema a few years ago. I was planning on changing springs etc. until my local Ferrari mechanic told me it wasn’t necessary. He could adjust the stock suspension to eliminate the gap. He did it and it worked great. I put:
    Modulare B18
    20 x 8.5” Front
    20 x 12” Back
Disclaimer: The mechanic had to modify the front wheel well plastic cover (same cover that gives you access to healight bulbs) due to rubbing of the tire during “U” turns. By modifying he cut a window out right where it rubbed. The plastic cover is easily replaced if I ever wanted to go back to stock set up. Here are some before and afters. The bigger wheels changed the cars look and I am super happy. Handling is actually better than stock.

Thank you. How much did you lower the your car.. looks great BTW. I'm now concerned about the decrease total wheel diameter from to 26.9 to 26.4
