Say what you will about who is responsible for this fender bender, verbal and physical assault is NEVER called for. Accidents happen.

If the driver of the 430 Spider is on this forum, you're going to require serious civil and criminal representation. Enjoy that.

Kinda hard to tell what really happened from that video but it doesn't look like he was very smart about it.

I would bet the Ferrari driver was wearing either "Ed Hardy", or a "Tapout" shirt in this video.

    What a knob!

In a world where practically everyone has a cameraphone capable of recording video, one has to be careful. That said, we have NO idea what happened before and led up to the video, which means the cab driver may not be blameless. Frankly, I've seen a LOT of bad driving by hacks. They then argue that they're "professional" drivers. Yeah, sure. Whatever. Half of them cannot stay within their own lane, the other half don't understand that slower traffic stays right. And, virtually 100% of them are talking on their cellphones while driving fares around. So much for professionalism.

Anyway, I can also understand a driver's frustration, as I'm sure we all can. I've seen SO much passive, aggressive behaviour by drivers, I throw up my hands sometimes, too. When people cruise along, oblivious to the outside world, cause issues and then ask, "did I do that?" with a deer-in-the-headlights stare, I can get VERY angry. I'm often tempted to grab their keys and throw them down a drain grate. They simply shouldn't be operating a motor vehicle. I'm not saying what the driver did was correct by any stretch or was justified in his battery, but other drivers often aren't innocent (and shouldn't claim to be), either. It takes two to tango.

By the way, i disagree that verbal assault is never called for. People really drive like *******s sometimes.

    Case in point...

So much construction in the DC metro area, that merging down into fewer lanes is a daily, multiple occasion. Normal, courteous driving behaviour should apply, which means...ALTERNATE. Why is it that the hacks have to try to edge you out? I mean, we're all stuck in the same line. Is edging someone out by failing to alternate a good idea? As if they're going to get somewhere so much faster. And, at least 2/3rds of the time, they're not carrying fares. So, WTF? Just being "professionals"? What?

And, let's not forget that there may even be some, "let's F with the guy in the nice car" attitude going on.

The cabbie's wailing sounded something like Stan Laurel crying & Beaker from the Muppet Show.

Both of these guys behavior are wrong. I'm not sure how the fender bender occurred. Presuming the taxi hit the back of the F430, If I was driving a taxi I would not drive close to an exotic car. That being said it might not have been Taxi guys fault. This F Car driver is obviously out of line, out of control, and a bullying ****** that should be arrested and have his car impounded and sold if it is not a rental. I have never been hit like that but if I where I would hope not to make the sounds of a baby whale. Furthermore, If a giant MMA looking ****h3ad is coming at you get out of reach or grab a weapon, a ball point pen, anything jeez. Why walk to the exotic car you just hit and stand like you're about to get in it. What a cluster F mess.

I don't know that I'd go that far, but the Government's going even farther on lesser grade violations.

Agree that physical assault is uncalled for. Verbal assault is another issue, and a hell of a lot better than physical assault, as us humans get emotional and sometimes say things that we regret a few minutes later when we cool down.

I don't think so. If you look, he took a pretty good beating. First, he was hit in the eye and later pummeled on the ground. I don't think he has to worry about faking anything.
