2005 F430 with original keys. Sometimes when press key electronic switch upon leaving car I get a light flash and 20 30 sec later the red light flashes on panel as it should. Other times I get the light flash and then 20-30 sec later it gives off about 5-6 loud chirps. I guess this means alarm is activated. Just not sure what all the loud chirping means and which is the normal behavior. The manual mentions nothing about a chirping sound when arming or leaving the vehicle. Either way the red panel light is flashing when locked. My question is which is normal, and how do I get it back to whatever is supposed to be normal? or does the loud chirping indicate a fault of some type. Thanks

Hi, the chirps indicate that a door, bonnet or engine cover is open. You may have a dodgy switch?

A single chirp means door unlocked, 5 chirps should be low battery.

Arhh, that's why mine did it for a while after I'd had the battery disconnected, I dont think it mentions that in the handbook.
