looks great......really great. random thought but what tires are you using on the wheels. its not rolling circumference giving you an issue now is it? the challenge uses 235/295 as oem but if you have a 295 on the rear with the street ABS then it might be the cause of your headaches. its hard to get that in a profile thats not a big deviation from norm. i assume you just transferred the 285 from your scud wheels over but thought id check just incase.
I have Pirelli Trofeo 285 35 19 and the circumference is very close to OEM scud. BTW a 295 tire will be to wide for this wheel the 285 I use looks a little bit wide just perfect.
have you used the trofeos before? im considering using them when im next due tyres as a corsa replacement. yeah the trofeo in that size is made for the scuderia/CS rear wheel so no issues there. i was just thinking out loud as it wouldnt be the first time theres been wonky ABS readings caused by an tyre thats right for the wheel but not the computer. for your info, the challenge cars tire specs from pirelli for the series are 235/645-19 and 295/680-19 so the wheels are used to running a 295 rear. 285 is the better choice since its for a road car though and importantly you get to keep spec for the rolling circumference. i hope you find the solution shortly. youve come so far and its sooooo close
No I haven't tested the new trofeos. The rear tire diameter difference compared to OEM CORSA,S is .5% so no prob there. Now we are making an adaptor to fix the Challenge hub to a latte and get a good reading with an oscilloscope at the same speed, the ch hubs now have the scud magnets and scud ABS sensors. We also made a little tool to adjust the correct gap in each ABS sensor. We will install the CH hubs next Friday and test maybe with the magnet swap and proper ABS gap adjustment we will solve the CH ABS mystery.
Do you know if all four corner ABS sensors are throwing error codes or is it just one corner. It's not entirely impossible that you got a bad part from Ferrari even though it might be new. And have you checked the ABS wiring & connector continuity all the way to the ABS control unit? Your problem could be something as simple as above.
The 4 ABS sensors have errors different speed readings. Right now we are making tests in the hubs and calibrating the correct gap and analyzing the oscilloscope results.
I want to thank Andrea from Taurino Racing for all his support in this project, with out his help and the Ferrari techs this result wont be possible. This is the only scuderia with OEM challenge center lock conversion !
SSR- For the ABS, it is not just the diameter of the rear wheels, it is also maintaining the same differential programmed into the ABS between the front and rear tire diameters. If the differential between OEM and new tires is somewhere in the 4%-5% difference from stock range, the ABS may give funny indications and not work normally. You can go as large on rear tires as you want, but foul up that differential and you are in trouble. If you put huge rear tires on the car, you need huge front tires to match the OEM size differential. Taz Terry Phillips
The new Trofeo tires are the same size in terms of numbers 285 35 19 / 235 35 19 but I measure the new wheels and they are .5% bigger (only the rears) so no prob here. We solve the problem using OEM scud ABS sensors and magnets we also made a special tool to keep the OEM ABS sensor gap in all 4 wheels. We also mede several readings using a oscilloscope and some other specially made adaptors etc... I will test the car more but it seams like the problems are solved, today I forced a little bit the ABS and it reacted properly...
Great news, because those wheels look great. You guys have me looking insanely at a set of 575 GTC centerlocks. Taz Terry Phillips

Great news! Well done. Pictures look fabulous, we now need pictures out on the open road! You didn't tell us, what was the problem you had and how did you correct it?
Ahh, sorry didn't see it, you wrote the solution was the full ABS Sensor & Magnet swap over... SSR Quote, "We solve the problem using OEM scud ABS sensors and magnets we also made a special tool to keep the OEM ABS sensor gap in all 4 wheels. We also mede several readings using a oscilloscope and some other specially made adaptors etc...". Would be very useful to show other interested parties (particularly 430 owners) what these alignment tools you made look like and what the procedure was. I think I'm not going to have the same issue on the 360/CS because the 430Ch I'm sure uses the old 360 abs signal modulator. We will see when I get back from vacation and do the same... -T
