    The 430 Challenge workshop notes expressly state the following;

Wheel fastening nut (bedding torque 350 Nm, 3 times)
Final Wheel fastening nut torque 550 Nm
Wheel drive stud bolts on hub 90 Nm
Nut fastening hub to bearing 275 Nm
Screw fastening bearing to hub 70 Nm

I'd definitely go back and re-torque them up to 550Nm, 420Nm is not enough!!!

My pictures really are crappy too. When you see them with your own eyes' you'll be even more impressed. They really do scream motorsport and the handling benefits are real.

With these widths I can use 315 rear and 245 front and that is the way the car should come from factory in normal 430 the front 225 tire looks ridiculous and the rear 285 too.

Cut us less fortunate folks some slack my friend...LOL...I wish I could run 325 in the rear and 255 in the fronts, with the tyres spilling 0.5inch beyond the fenders. Now that would look PHAT!

In terms of performance maybe I lost 5 % compared with 19" wheels .
Nothing too bad, this is the second time I used these size of wheels and tires ...

Well boys, after drooling over 360Trev's Challenge Stradale, I decide I had to join that club.

Thanks to 360Trev and SSR for being pioneers and even more so, for spending the time and energy to document their journeys! I can't wait to get this project going. Thanks also to Andrea. He's dialed me in on everything I need, including 2 sets of those gorgeous wheels.

I'm open for suggestions on tires/sizes. I'm thinking PZero Corsas for the street and PZero Trofeo Slicks for the track.

Based upon all of the prior work of our centerlock forefathers, I've compiled what I believe to be the definitive parts list do do this project:

SKU Part No. 220562 - x2, Left Hand Hub Complete Bearing (32 on illustration)
SKU Part No. 220558 - x2, Right Hand Hub Complete Bearing (32 on illustration)
SKU Part No. 220731 - x4, Front Center Lock Alloy
SKU Part No. 220734 - x4, Rear Center Lock Alloy
(2 sets of wheels: One for street use and one for track use)

SKU Part No. 223112 - x2, Left Hand Wheel Nut
SKU Part No. 223113 - x2, Right Hand Wheel Nut

REAR Center Bells from the 430 Challenge Car CCM discs x4
Special Service Tool - SST AV3849 (I believe this is the factory wheel nut socket)

430 Challenge Car Hub nuts and washers (x4 per wheel = 16 total):

SKU Part No. 180591 Fixing Screw (x4 per wheel = 16 total)
(No. 33 on the Front and Rear Suspension Diagrams)

SKU Part No. 160092 Washer (x4 per wheel = 16 total).
(No. 34 on the Front and Rear Suspension Diagrams)

SKU Part No. 10732414 Washer (x4 per wheel = 16 total).
(No. 35 on the Front and Rear Suspension Diagrams)

I'm not sure if the center "bearing fixing" pin, washer and nut are included with the complete hubs. If not, these should be the part nos.:

SKU Part No. 180542 Bearing Fixing Pin (x1 per front wheel = 2 total).
(No. 36 on the Front Suspension Diagram)

SKU Part No. 223161 Washer (x1 per wheel = 4 total).
(No. 40 and No. 39 on the Front and Rear Suspension Diagrams, respectively)

SKU Part No. 223160 Nut (x1 per wheel = 4 total).
(No. 28 and No. 36 on the Front and Rear Suspension Diagrams, respectively)

    Use Pirelli MPSC
    Rear 315 25 20
    Front 235 30 20
For this you will need custom made wheels handers very nice and looks super cool or go the OEM route with 19"

I polished the red and gold nuts and for me they look better also you need to use oem yellow plastic wheels centers and mod them to fit inside the hub hole.

Thanks for the tire recommendation. I'm going to stick with 19" OEM for now. Any thoughts on tire sizes?

I love the yellow factory center. Can you send some pics of the adapter? I can't figure out how you did that!

I've posted this before in my build thread but this will help you...

Table of Rim widths to Tire Recommendations
7.5" Inch, Minimum sized tire: 205 mm, Ideal: 215 mm or 225 mm, Max: 235 mm
8.0" Inch, Minimum sized tire: 215 mm, Ideal: 225 mm or 235 mm, Max: 245 mm <--- 19" Center lock rims are 8.0" @ Front
8.5" Inch, Minimum sized tire: 225 mm, Ideal: 235 mm or 245 mm, Max: 255 mm
9.0" Inch, Minimum sized tire: 235 mm, Ideal: 245 mm or 255 mm, Max: 265 mm
9.5" Inch, Minimum sized tire: 245 mm, Ideal: 255 mm or 265 mm, Max: 275 mm
10.0" Inch, Minimum sized tire: 255 mm, Ideal: 265 mm or 275 mm, Max: 285 mm
10.5" Inch, Minimum sized tire: 265 mm, Ideal: 275 mm or 285 mm, Max: 295 mm <--- 19" Center lock rims are 10.5" @ Rear
11.0" Inch, Minimum sized tire: 275 mm, Ideal: 285 mm or 295 mm, Max: 305 mm
11.5" Inch, Minimum sized tire: 285 mm, Ideal: 295 mm or 305 mm, Max: 315 mm
12.0" Inch, Minimum sized tire: 295 mm, Ideal: 305 mm or 315 mm, Max: 325 mm
12.5" Inch, Minimum sized tire: 305 mm, Ideal: 315 mm or 325 mm, Max: 335 mm
13.0" Inch, Minimum sized tire: 315 mm, Ideal: 325 mm or 335 mm, Max: 345 mm

The 19" Center lock challenge rims are 8.0" wide (0.5" wider than standard Strad rims) so the maximum sized front tire you can fit is a 245mm and the smallest is a 215mm. The biggest issue on the 360/430 is the washout with understeer at the front. I therefore recommend the larger front tires. That means either a 235mm or 245mm width on an 8.0" width front rim. The N-GT cars ran much wider front track width with very wide front tires (and flared front and rear arches) so that they could run very wide front tires and virtually eliminate understeer at the cost of a little steering wheel feel.

Again on the back you putting the power down so I'd go with the widest possible, in this case 295mm on the Center lock factory 19" rims.

Now lets look at some model's and their RIM sizes and stock tire sizes...

    --- Ferrari 360 Modena
    Wheels,f;r 7.5" x 18-in; 10.0" x 18-in, cast aluminum
    Tires, f;r 215/45ZR18; 275/40ZR18

    --- Ferrari Challenge Stradale
    Wheels,f;r 7.5" x 19-in; 10.0" x 19-in, cast aluminum
    Tires, f;r 225/35ZR19; 285/35ZR19

    --- Ferrari 430 Scuderia
    Wheels,f;r 8.0" x 19-in; 10.0" x 19-in, cast aluminum
    Tires, f;r 235/35ZR19; 285/35ZR19

    --- Ferrari 430 Challenge
    Wheels,f;r 8.0" x 19-in; 10.5" x 19-in, cast aluminum
Tires, f;r 235/35ZR19; 295/35ZR19 (equivalent width but on racing slicks)

    --- Ferrari 458 Italia
    Wheels,f;r 8.5" x 20-in; 10.5" x 20-in, cast aluminum
    Tires, f;r 235/35ZR20; 295/35ZR20

PS. Don't forget to get a FULL GEOMETRY check done when changing tires or suspension.

Thanks. This info is really helpful. I'll have two sets of rims: one for street and one for track. I will try to go 245/295 for track but may have to stick with the 235/285 in order to keep the wheel heights within tolerance. Did you have any issue with that? I'm worried about problems with the ABS sensor.

I just got my 8 really big boxes from Andrea at Taurino Racing. I'm waiting for a few bits and pieces in order to start. I will start a new thread to journal the project.
