What mode do you mostly drive in sport , race or CST/.
I tend to chose what ever suits the road surface and mood for example if your driving on a poor surface UK country road or town in the dry, the wet mode is more compliant in taking up the bobbing, and skipping about from the suspension action your not going up and down the box like crazy so the speed shift and throttle response are second options. Motorways again wet mode nice feel and ride for steady cruse even in the dry CST is for the brave or daft and i personally never use it on the road, tracks are ok but only if iam in the mood going out from cold use the ice mode this is the slowest of the gear shift patterns and the clutch engages earlier too nice and kind to the gearbox until you get the temp up and if you forget to check the rev counter it shifts for you so you don't over rev nice..
Sport mode mostly. Rain or wet surface we use 'Wet' mode. The odd occasion (once or twice), Race mode on the road (opens the exhaust valves quicker apparently? may be wrong...), and on track (if its dry and the car, tires and track have some warmth).
sport. race would be for the track and sometimes I use the wet mode simply because it relaxes the dampers a little so if the pavement is really bad this helps a little. best regards, Jerry
I can't remember whether it was C&D or Clarkson who said that the manettino settings should be labelled "Novice, Amateur, Expert, Schumacher and God".
If Clarkson said it I think he would've put it: "Novice, Amateur, Expert, God, and Schumacher." Either way it's funny. ;-)
wet 'n wild when delivering the car to me, the dealer, who did not know my driving skill level (Id call me somewhere closer to intermediate than beginner) told me "don't engage race mode, you will **** yourself up." I thought this was solid general advice if the customer is truly a novice. You want to keep the full help of ASR (is that the Ferrari term for DSC?) on. I do like how race tightens up the car, but I worry that in a surprise situation that could arise that the electric nannys will be too restricted so I leave it in sport most of the time. best regards, Jerry
