Hello all, I have a 430 due in the post soon and i'm going to fit it on my 360, after searching and finding diy's on the subject which i'm happy to do with modifying to fit my car but my main question is:

I've read that the 430, CS and 360 racing exhaust are very similar or near identical hence the purchase of a 430 silencer and tail pipes for a good deal. With the CS and 360 racing silencer I see on pictures that their is a heat shield the engine bay lid. Will I need to fit one to my 360 with the 430 exhaust?

Also for those who have done this or know anyone who has. If you have any top tips installing please feel free to comment as some of the threads/diy's are old and time moves on with better/simpler solutions.

    Many thanks.

The upper heat shield engine bay comes in handy if you are doing track days not really so much of a big deal for regular driving on street

Does anyone know the diameter of the 430 pipes? I'd like to use a torca clamp after shortening the 430 exhaust pipes to fit the 360 (instead of welding sleeves). Just need to know what the diameter of the pipes are so I can order the clamps ahead of time.

Do you know if it's the small or the larger that has to be cut shorter?

I'm currently in the process of doing the swap. The exhaust tubes for 360 and 430 are the same diameter, however the diameter of the tips on the 430 are larger. Waiting to hear back from the shop who is supposed to swap the tips for me , putting the 360 tips on the 430 pipes. Need the additional clearance in the bumper opening they will provide.

I'm hoping to leave my 360 OEM exhaust untouched so I can reinstall it to the car in the future if needed. Sounds like I could try to source an existing set of 360 tips or tips that are compatible. Thanks for that info. I'm excited to hear about how your conversion goes! I prefer to work on my own car and will be doing the conversion myself. I've got a list of all the fasteners needed for the conversion. I'll share that soon.

Don't get why change the tips. The 430 exhaust tips look really nice.

I think they need to be changed to longer tips b/c the 360 bumper is farther away.

My 360 with 430 exhaust conversion retains the stock 430 tips. I was going to change but like the 430 look. No fit or clearance issues noted.

Oh great, then I'll just leave the 430 tips on there! This project just got easier. Sounds like all I need to do is cut the four pipes to length and clamp/weld them in the appropriate place. All my parts are on order and should be here within 1 week.

If you're doing this, don't forget to pick up the hardware that is required to mount the 430 exhaust brackets and exhaust to the car. I suggest looking at the diagrams for "360 racing exhaust" and "360 modena" exhaust to see which fasteners can be reused and which you need to purchase. However, you can also see my summary here for what can be reused.

Looks like just cosmetic. But that would be hard to live with. I'm toying with the idea to remove my capristo to do the 430 exhaust. Might sound crazy but really love the OEM look.

Having a pretty hard time finding this screw. It is not used on the stock 360 exhaust and is currently holding up my project. I have an order in at Algar Ferrari, but they haven't provided a tracking # and it's been almost a week since I ordered the part.

Does anyone know the size of this bolt or screw? Maybe I can just source it locally at at hardware store or Mcmcaster?

    Thanks!

Yeah actually i think i can just re-use any m8 nut and bolt that's the adequate length. Can probably re-use some fasteners from the F430 system that aren't needed on the F360.

In a pinch you can cut that outer shroud off and knock the dents out and reweld.
