Hi, I own SportsMaserati over in the UK and I need some help regarding the F1 or CambioCorsa clutch that has been the thorn in the side of the 4200/GranSport owners over here in the UK and I am sure globally too.

Our issue is that our Valeo clutch, that can only be purchased from Maserati or ES turns out to be the same as the F430 system....or more so it can be fitted and works.

Now, its a little more expensive, ok, but our issue is, when they go in the F430, what is the norm?

Does the clutch start purely slipping when its worn down or do you get the same problems as we do in our Maseratis, were the clutch cover spring fingers, or tangs, collapse, rendering the car undrivable?

    Appreciate your feedback.

I'd try looking in the 430 section where at a guess someone over the past few years might have posted similalry

I have seen 430 clutches burnt to a crisp and no diaphragm finger distortion issues.

Don't know anything about Maseratis so I cannot compare.
