I just heard about another 430 fire, this time in New Jersey. Can anyone give advice on what I can do to prevent this? Is there room to install heat shields? Would cutting a few openings in the bottom help? I'm willing to give up a little performance to reduce the possibility of fire. Any possability Ferri will recall to fix this?
    Thanks

I would be interested to know how many of these 430 fires involved financed cars or belonged to people not now doing so well in the current economic downturn?

    How many have there been?

    What specifcally was the cause?

A little hard to fix something if the cause is not known, or for that matter to know IF there is something to fix.

    Spontaneous automotive combustion.

I hate it when that happens.

How about a pair of cojones and a fire extinguisher???? :D

Franco lost one of his here, total burn out, but never got to the cause....under Warranty! :D

Seriously before cutting air holes I'd go with an underhood fire system like all the offshore race boats use......
