Having been sitting on my 430 for too long after buying a stradale, I'm now thinking seriously about trading the 430 for a 612. Would give me room in the back for the munchkin and I think I'd be more comfortable using it as a daily (less conspicuous and better driving position for drudging through SoCal traffic).

Anyway, I've started poking around the 612 market and trying to figure out what a fair trade value might be. My coupe is a 2005, silver / black, F1 just a nudge below 5k miles. Puting my realist hat on, I think this car might be worth $125-135k were I trade it (pains me to say it). Don't have as good a sense for the 612 market, but my guess is that cars are trading below the $140-160 asks that are out there.

Thus thinking a good place to end up might be an even trade or perhaps slightly better (trying not to focus too much on the Grigio Ingrid 612 pricing discussed in another thread)...what do you guys think?

BTW if you have a 612 and are thinking about a 430, PM me. Interested in Grigio Ti, Silverstone or Rosso Rubino (I know there are a couple Rubinos out there currently but not too excited about the mileage on one and the interior color on the other). Two must-have options for me are Daytonas and the rear park sensors...

    Thanks!

The 612 is a great car to use as a daily driver, it is very comfortable and has lots of space.
Prices for the 612 vary mostly in terms of milage and options, look to pay anywhere from 140,000-220,000 for these cars (even with the economic problems).

What is the exact exterior color of your F430 and what are the added options? From the information you have given and considering your car is in excellent shape I would say try to go for $140k-$160k, if there is no buyer, gradually bring the price down until there is a buyer. Some dealers will dish out that amount for a trade, I have seen it even with the economy today.

If you asked earlier there was a Rosso Rubino 612 for private sale but it was sold off for $175. Here is one I found with a match to what your looking for: 2005 FERRARI 612 Scaglietti F1 - Grigio Titanio Metallizzato with Bordeaux - Scottsdale Ferrari - Price 149,788. Not sure if your interested. I keep my eye out for others.
