Has anyone converted the stock Becker radio in a 430 from the CD changer to iPod control? The part (interface box) from Ferrari is over $500 but I was just wondering if it was simply a matter of unplugging the changer and plugging in the new interface or does it require some re-programming in the radio?

this might work. I've thought about it too but I have no idea how to run/connect the wire.

It is possible. I added an iPod cable to the Becker unit. It was operated via the aux input.

With that being said, I also just replaced the Becker unit and the other "HiFi" components for all new stuff.

    So much better......

I bought a cheap fm transmitter which works great at the house but not so great on the road. I may have to get this wire...but I'm not sure where it will exit the dash, etc. anyone have any pics of the install and use?

I did a search through the posts and found lots of people that bought the input cable from Beckersound, but did not find anyone that had purchased the actual interface from Ferrari. For my 2007 430 with a 6105 radio, Ferrari gave me a part number of 230999- IPOD Adapter Box.

My question is has anyone purchased one of these to swap their changer for an iPod, and if so was it just plug and play or did it require any additional reprogramming of the radio? Or for anyone that has the iPod interface from the factory instead of the changer - how easy is it to navigate playlists, etc?

The Ferrari part as far as I know is this one (top) which may or may not be obsolete but come up sometimes on EBay aux_input
