I have a 2005 coupe and recently have a noise when locking and unlocking the car with
the radio control key.It only happens once but it didn't do it before. Its like a beep-beep-beep
when unlocking it happens almost immediately but when locking it might be 10 or more
seconds before it happens.I tried disconnecting the battery thinking something was out
of sequence but that didn't help. It almost sounds like something is open but I checked
and all the latches are closed and secure.Any ideas?

Guess nobody had any ideas on this.Only connections I have other than the standard ones
were an Ipod connection in the glove box and also have a battery tender connected to a hot wire behind the drivers seat.(CTEK3300)that is connected by a quick disconnect and stays
connected when the car is in the garage. I got the beeps to go away after the Ipod was removed from its connection and reattached. For whatever reason the car didn't like it.

That's odd. I doubt the iPod could be a big problem but I have read that the cars are sensitive to battery strength so maybe you were due for a drive to recharge it. I try to drive once a week but I did push it to about 2 weeks once and had a lot of extra beeps as you described. This was my last drive a few days ago and "hopefully" not re-occuring again. Keeping it on the trickle charger is the "other" insurance but I like the drive once a week plan!

Some cars will do this when a compartment is open (e.g., glove box or center console).

Agreed with babyboo. My Porsche began to beep upon locking when I replaced the radio with an aftermarket one. I found out that this was its way of telling me the alarm wasn't armed because it didn't know the new radio had been installed and thus thought it was missing the radio. Found the alarm wire, rigged it to touch the new stereo unit, and all was well. I have no idea if that applies to Ferrari but wanted to share my experience in hope that it might.
