plan is to pick up at say 5pm wednesday , go to the cousins for dinner , stay overnight in melbourne , leave at 2am thursday morning and go straight through to brisbane arriving about 8pm local time giddy up

You may even be able to post a new Avatar after the journey home with a new and higher (331 Km/h +) speedo reading from the 430 !!! On a serious note - hope all goes well with the pickup and trip home to Brissie.
Cos all Ferraris are OHOS I just went to the showroom...no 430...went to the workshop...theres one there...red with beige and CC brakes...probably Andrew's, i'm guessing.
What chance is there of your car getting a tonne of rock chips on the front bumper on the drive from Melbourne to Brisbane? As the route is along the East coast, I assume the roads are pretty clean and cosmopolitan?
it's getting protective film applied before i drive out of the showroom floor. i'll take the newell highway. the coast road has a heap of single dual lanes and it's not much better and will take longer

Whats the deal with the F430, do you need to run it in for the first 2000km or whatever (like mhh with his E60)? Although after seeing your driving first hand scud, I can't imagine you restraining yourself for the entire trip back to Brisbane anyway.
this way i can take her straight to the track rather than trying to pile the miles on quickly. also i'll get my fix for a few weeks and leave her sit in the garage until track time. 105 / 110 will be the speed the whole way . i'd be pissed off to give the fuz some points and $$$$
Congrats on the purchase. I know i wouldnt be able to control myself if i had a shiny new 430 in my garage.

normally not too many cars are out there cruising just for a race , i'm not interested . just want to get it back in one piece.
I went down today and took some snaps of your 430. It was in the service area and was still being detailed. Let me know if you want the photos posted here or sent to you privately. They're not very good, was in a dark, cramped corner of the service bay.
