    I have had my 2005 f430 Spider since new and have never done any performance upgrades. Mostly because I was afraid of loosing my warranty. I have always extended my my coverage every year. It was always plenty fast and still really is but now with so many cars making 500+ hp I was thinking its time to do some performance enhancing modifications. We just recently went to a car rally and I was a little disappointed when a stock AMG C63 Mercedes was able to pull me on the freeway. I have heard so many people talk about exhaust and a good dyno tune but does any of these mods really make sense ? is there some real horsepower to be found or is it just a lot of wasted money. What mods really make sense if any. Have any of you dyno tested before and after and can you say you gained what you had hoped.

    I would only go as far as an exhaust for mods. How much faster can you go? The horsepower game never ends. Unless you do an Underground Racing TT conversion you won't be seeing real world results. You really need turbos to add serious performance. (335i vs M3 is a good comparison) ,much easier to modify the 335i. Don't let the c63 get to your head. On a racetrack it would be game over. The only thing the merc and your F430 have in common is a horsepower figure between 460 and 490. That's about where it ends. The guy in the merc wishes he had your car.

    Any non car person just sees an AMG as a nice merc. Car people know what it is, but it's still a C class. Everybody that sees your car knows it's a Ferrari!
