Got delivery of my 430 a few weeks ago. There is a rattling sound coming from the rear when I drive about 1800 to 2500 rpm. This only happens when Im driving. If I rev the engine when the gear is not engaged, there is no rattling. It sounds like something is loose, but it only happens between 1800-2800. Any Ideas? Its a late 2007 model.

Could be support brackets for exhaust system. These are known to fail and allow rattling of exhaust. See if rattle goes away after putting downward pressure of your shoe on exhaust tips.

My summer-build 2007 F430 had a similar problem and it turned out to be the exhaust tips on one side of the system. Ferrari replaced them and now it's fine.

With the exhaust cooled, grab the exhaust tip and and twist... see if there's any play.

Like Nielsq and Frank said.......most probably it's one of two things....a) broken exhaust bracket(s) b) loose exhaust tip(s)......they are known to fail on the F430. I had two broken exhaust brackets on my F430. Nothing serious, however you need to address the issue. They will ofcourse be changed under the warranty.

I had a rattle at 3500rpm, the dealer changed the gearbox mounts and the heat shield was loose due to thhe vibrations.

My exhaust brackets failed twice. It's an easy fix but it's a pain in the arse!
