I have an 07 F1 430 coupe 7K miles have the original Pzero tires have 7/32 tread left original spec is 10/32. I hit a pot hole and dinged a sidewall. So need to replace at least one tire. The Pzero's are about 400 a pop and on back order at tire rack. May go ahead and replace all 4 What is everybody else running? The Goodrich G force is a good value but not original. Anybody used these?

I had the same issue with the Pzero's so I went with the Bridgestone RE050's. Just bought them the other day. The reason I did not go with the PS2 is that I think that tire looks silly on the car.

Bridgestone RE-11 245/35R19 and 285/35R19. This is what I'm running in the Scuderia, Cayman and now getting a 4th set for my Toyota.

I had the RE-050 in the Cayman until 2009. I replaced them with same size RE-11, the RE-11 exceeds the performance of the RE-050 and the PS2 by a lot. They are affordable and long lasting.

I just put the Continental ExtremeContact DW's on my F430 last week, and then went to the track for 3 days. While I'm not nearly as good a driver on the track as many others who probably monitor this board, I can say that they handled as well as the P0's that were on the car before, and they cost quite a bit less (under $1K for all four @ tirerack.com). Dealer said they see a lot of people putting these tires on their F-Cars lately, and they got great reviews on tirerack.com (better even than the PS2).

    My $0.02

I know the fronts are slightly wider than stock but do you notice any negatives from this? I have my 430 lowered 22mm to Euro ride height for what's its worth. I'm going to need new tires soon. Thought I would be going with PS2 but would like your opinion for the RE-11s for street use.

I used Bridgestone primarily on my Porsches in the past with good success.

PS2 are tires 10 years old, they were bread and butter for Michelin. They were great when new, but these days they are not as good as many other tires. I had them in my 996 GT3, by the time I got my GT3 RS (2008) there were much better tires.

Search this forum for RE-11, re-writing is not fun.

+1 have about 500 miles on mine now. A more firm tire, you can feel the road more. I like them alot. Handle as good or better and I like the firm feel. If you want a "soft" ride, you won't like them.

Note there is a new PZero that has only been out a couple of years or so. The old PZero Rossos have been around a long time. The new PZeros corner and brake better than the Rossos and last longer too, so do not discount that tire. Most of the late 360s and early F430s would have been fitted with the Rosso System, with directionals on the front and assymmetrics on the rear.

I looked. No new PZero sizes for the F430 , so never mind.

    Terry,

Will the 235/35/19 fronts work for the standard 430 vs stock 225?

Continental ExtremeContact DW tire seems to be an interesting tire. But when I mentionned the PS2, I'm talking only about the specific K1 tire. There is a huge difference between the standard PS2 and the K1 which has a very updated modern thread and compounds. Unfortunately, this specific K1 tire is never directly compared with others. But anyway, my real experience which is tire is very positive. Maybe some other got also the K1 tires? Would be interesting to know also their feedback ;)
