    Dear ferrari ethusiasts

this happen with my 2008 430 scuderia. I got the "NO CAL" signal on the dasboard every now and then , so i go tired and got the ECU for the tire pressure changed, then it became ok. today every time i started the engine, it signal "check tire pressure" and then it goes away. but it appear every time i turn on the engine. my dealer said i should add more pressure to the tire to 2.2 for all wheels. but on the side door, it said 2.1 and 2.0 for rear wheels. and it still doesnt go away. anyone know what is happening or experienced similar problem on sandard 430 or scuderiia. it bother the hell out of me. please help.

PS: adding too much pressure, would it effect the car in anyway?

    Thanks for ur help.

You've got to calibrate your tire pressure monitoring system. First adjust the tire pressure correctly using an external pressure gauge. Second, turn on the ignition key without starting the engine and then press the red square calibration button located under the steering wheel on the left side for a few seconds, until your display turns green and says "CAL". Drive the car for about 10 minutes, afterwards your system should start reading the tire pressure correctly.

I hope I can help. I'm having the same thing with my Scud. Basically the TPS just plain sucks. I took mine to the dealer and the TPS is off about 3psi. They calibrated the TPS and then over inflated my tires by 3psi. So my tires are 33 in the front and 32 in the rear. The car actually feels better. I'm going to try this for a while. Worst case I bleed out a couple of pounds. Bottom line is the TPS is just not that accurate and is finicky. I use a tire guage to check the tires before every drive.

Please dont get too caught up with these electronic systems. A racer's mentality is you drive the car at full speed and heat up the tires. You come in. Your engineer checks tire pressures and tire temps. He adjusts tire pressures per manufacterur's specs for max traction. Off you go! Full throttle.

Luckily I did not order the tire pressure monitoring system with my Scuderia. I have heard a lot of problems with that system.
