Was Air Conditioning Delete an option with the Scud?

Did you check if you have the "off" button depressed on the Climate Controls?

My AC is working fine, just curious if the factory had a delete option. I didn't buy new but had the option been available I would have ticked the box.

    Hey. Find it first.

    Image Unavailable, Please Login

It's mounted on the left side of your AC unit (near the driver's right knee if you have a LHD car).

It looks like it is held in with one screw. Remove power from the unit first. Use the battery cutoff switch to remove power (if the car has a battery cutoff switch).

You mean the compressor relay behind the driver?

Who told you the ECU was faulty? Alfardan Sports Motors? Did your technician fit a new ECU and confirm that the old ECU was faulty?

Disregard.... It's the only relay in the system (excluding radiator fan relays) :p

Seems too good to be true.

It should be to good to be true…….ive replaced the whole a/c system recently.
I think maybe when I popped in the new radio I blew the relay……I have no clue……..

I can't figure out how a relay would "blow", but start working after 10~15 minutes. Are you sure the shop didn't forget to do something, then told you the relay was faulty to avoid embarrassment.

The main contacts of the relay are protected by a fuse, so you'd expect the fuse to blow if, say, the compressor clutch or wiring shorted (the wiring of which is nowhere near the radio). The coil of the relay is protected by another fuse. I think you can put your mind at rest regarding the radio installation. If the relay was faulty, it was probably just "tired" from over-use in sunny Florida ;)

    it is a mystery…..
I did work fine when I got it back after the new AC install…… it became faulty after the radio installation.
Honestly not sure why…..different shop for both tasks.
