Hi. Don't have access to an owners manual at the moment. Am about to buy a Scuderia. Could someone please tell me how often the cam timing chains need to be changed or are the good for ever unlike a 360. Car is 6 years old 6k km. don't think they have ever been touched. Thanks.

inspection to timingchain scheduled at 70'000 km service. 6 years old car and 6K km I belive you will never ever reach 70'000 km therefore no worries for you.

The 360 has timing 'belts' that need regular maintenance. The 430 did away with the rubber belts and moved to internal chains.

Most chain driven engines don't require much of anything, but I am sure that our friends at the Prancing Pony will figure out some way to increase service prices!

Hey the man is just buying his new Scud - don't scare him
You will probably never need to do anything to the timing chain

Depends on how good the tensioners are. Early Jaguar XK8 engines had issue with the plastic tensioners/guides which cause all sorts of issues when they fail. Hope Ferrari got it right as Ford certainly didn't (and they didn't get the water pump right either with plastic impellers disintegrating when the engine overheated due to a bad thermostat).
