    Hi there

I own a 6 miles Scuderia. I noticed that when I slow down in traffic and car goes on first gear before stopping that engaging first gear makes some noise. Nothing too loud but enough for me to notice.

Is this normal or what would the cause be?

    Thank you for your advice

    Max

I've never noticed that. Sometimes when I engage first gear from neutral, there is a slight clunk, but I've never heard it when it is auto downshifting into 1st.

Nothing downshifting from 1st to Neutral other than perhaps a very faint shift linkage "clak" from under the car/behind me...if at all.
But definitely an engaging "clak" when going from Neutral to 1st.

the Scud f1 superfast is a bit clunky at low speeds, also when it hits hard @ high rpms on track with interior removed. Its normal, ignore it and bang away. That is the best transmission ever including the dsg in the 458. Mine also clunks a bit 2nd to 1st @ citizen speeds. It is smoother at higher rpms.

Same thing happens in the regular 430 F1 box. Nothing out of the ordinary.

+1. Much smoother when you shift at higher rpm. As a matter of fact I find the whole car to be transformed for the better when you drive it hard.

Even 360 F1 is the same. I kinda like it, you can hear the gears.

If it truly has only 6 miles, it needs to be broken in for goodness sake! Drive that thing like it was meant to be driven. Your description sounds like an auto shift when reducing speed and is normal. You can also pull both paddles to engage Neutral and use your brakes to stop, or my favorite, actively downshift when stopping to hear those glorious rev matches and burbles as you come to a stop.
