Here are some photos of a very unique 430 Scuderia(#168934) that I thought you all might enjoy. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very cool! I tried to order a 16M tri-color stripe on a customer's Scud coupe, and the factory would not allow it.
They were persuaded to do it in this instance. Steve Harris Imports also has a black/black Scuderia with a 16M tricolore stripe.
I fell in love with the color Rosso Dino since i saw that pic of a Rosso Dino F430 with black wheels. Too bad the lighting doesnt give us a real idea of the color.
I thought all the Scuderia/16M stripes were options on both cars? There are a couple of members here that have the black 16M stripe on their Scud's and these two have the tri-colore. If I was your customer and I saw a Scud with the tri-colore stripe after being told it was not an option, I wouldn't be happy... +1. The gold isn't working with the orange.
I still prefer the 16M single color stripe. The orange Scuderia needs the dark gray wheels as there is too much going on with those painted wheels and tricolor stripe. CH
Oh you philistines... Rosso Dino is a late 60's-early 70's colour. The Scuderia is also a "trackey" type of car. As you may or may not remember, all of the Ferrari competition cars of that period had gold/bronze coloured wheels. This was done as a nod to those wonderful cars. The black wheels have been done to death, and their inspiration is IMHO a little to "Tokyo Drift" for a Ferrari. I suppose that the traditional bright silver finish that is standard on all other new Ferraris would be okay also. Inspiration for gold/bronze wheels illustrated below. Well, if everyone's initial response is that it doesn't look good, and you have to go through this whole explanation to justify it, it's not going to change people's minds whether it looked good or not because it's a tribute color. I don't know if it's pre-sold or for sale now, but I'll bet that the owner changes them anyway. The two colors are not complementary. Red and gold aren't bad, but that orange and the bronze/copper color don't mix.
Well, I guess we will have to agree to disagree... The car was not sold when it came in, and immediately sold to the first prospect who saw it. I guess it worked for somebody.
Is the red of the Rosso Dino more orangy than Rosso Scuderia? Will be good if there is a side by side comparision. Anyone has pictures?
Rosso Dino is a LOT more orange than Rosso Scuderia. Both are very cool colours for a "tracky" type of car.
There are pictures somewhere but I can't find them right now. Here's a Rosso Dino Enzo that shows how orange the color is in certain light (Photo Credit: Jason Thorgalsen). Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks like it´s not a problem anymore now, as I´ve seen several Scuds with the 16M stripe at the factory during the last few days. Ciao, Lars T.
Thanks for the pictures! I'll like to see one in person one day, the colour really brightens the car!
