430 Scuderia Lap Time at Fiorano

Why is factory saying that the Scuderia achieved same time as the enzo? I was at Fiorano two mths ago and and that is what they told me. My local dealer here also said the same thing.

2.5secs difference (Scud vs Enzo) on such a short track is huge.

whish they would lap a 997 GT2 there as well......back to the drawing boards it would be.....

Funny you say that when I was at the track last month a Porsche 997 S was turning laps on Fiorano, I was a bit confused. We also saw a test driver driving a grey 430 scuderia to the absolute maximum late in the day for about 10 laps, it was amazing to see the carbon discs glow red on turn 1 after the straight.

I would have been confused too seeing a P997S on Fiorano!

 

They ran a Porsche 959 around Fiorano a long time ago.

IIRC it was a VERY slow time.

 

Enzo > 430SC.....although i love the 430 SC(not supercharged for the slow ones).

 

Every manufacturer tests each other's cars. I'm sure Ferrari is no different. I'm sure a GT3RS has turned some laps at Fiorano at some point.

so i think that F430 SC's time will be about 1:24.4.

 

I remember reading back when the 360 and 996 GT3 came out that Porsche sent a GT3 to Maranello and Ferrari sent a 360 to Stuttgart..Wonder if its true.
