On an F430, if you leave one or more doors open when doing the checks, you may also have to figure out a way to keep the door switches (near the hinges) depressed to simulate doors closed.

According to the wiring diagrams, this switch is for the lights on the doors (both sides) and it also inputs into the Alarm ECU, not to the Immobiliser ECU (which is a separate unit on the F430)

I think the Juicemyride products are overpriced for what you get.

Here is retailer selling the Battery Minder at a discount. I got mine from them:
    https://www.batterystuff.com/battery-chargers/12-volt/batteryminder-12v-2-amp-high-performance-agm-charger-maintainer-desulfator-2012-agm.html

Battery Minder also makes a higher output version (I have one of these too)
    https://www.batterystuff.com/battery-restoration/12-volt/batteryminder-12v-2-4-8-amp-charger-maintainer-desulfator-and-lithium-charger-maintainer-128cec2.html

These both have SAE cable connections. So you will need to do one of two things to connect to your battery. Use the ring connectors they come with, attach to the factory Ferrari battery clamps and route the cable around the passenger foot rest. Or, buy and adapter so you can use the battery charging port under the passenger dash, on the right side. You can get an adapter from by emailing this guy:

Buy an adapter from this Fchat member here: [email protected] Tell him you have a 430 Scuderia and need an adapter to work with an SAE plug, which is what 90% of all battery maintainers use. (NOCO and Ctek have their own proprietary plugs) You can also have him make you an adapter to work with a Ctek if that is your preference.

I just have a charging tail connected to the heavy cables behind the seat. Lot easier than connecting up to the battery terminals

Its a good way to go, and convenient right behind the seat. I had one from the previous owner, but removed it. I'm using the factory charging port. I made my own adapter to an SAE plug.

Does your adaptor wiring still prevent the starter operating and generate the dash warning if the car is connected to the charger? The OEM charger has 3 wires instead of two. Just wondering how you wired it up.

The OEM charger setup has a number of safety features, including a 15 amp fuse behind the driver's seat.

Yes, my adapter retains all factory features and the starter interrupt. My adapter also has an inline blade fuse, I think 10 amps, as I am only running a 4amp or less tender.

There is a thread here on Fchat and links to where to obtain the parts and make your own.
The same poster made a website with instructions...his is to adapt to Ctek. I prefer to adapt to SAE which is what almost all other companies use, except Ctek and NOCO.

He will also make you a very nice, professional looking adapter for around $85 I think. You can message him on his website.

    Trying to find that now...

The other website gives the pinout as:

    Pin 1: +12V
    Pin 2: Sense
    Pin 3: Ground
    Pin 4: N/C

Looks like my diagram is wrong. Should be (I think):

The OEM wiring diagrams was one source of my confusion. The wiring diagrams show this plug (as seen from the pin side):

And the plug itself looks like this:

So I didn't see that previous response, so I got the overpriced juicemyride charger lol. Probably should have gone with the ctek, but $100 is pretty much $0 in the scheme of Ferrari ownership.

However, the juicemyride thing did come with the Ferrari adapter so I just plug it in to the port which is nice as I don't trust myself too much hooking the cables on the ctek as I'll surely mess something up eventually.

I will say....the juicemyride works very very well. Really shockingly well on my Odyssey AGM battery, charged it from like 80 to 100% real fast and seems to be maintaining perfectly.

My issue was definitely the trickle charger.

PSA to scud owners: MAKE SURE YOUR TRICKLE CHARGER WORKS!!!! I have had years of annoyances because of that... :( Thanks for the people on here who helped me, very very knowledgable.

Great to hear. Just an FYI....Odyssey does recommend a specific charging profile and has a list of recommended chargers and maintainers that details specific models that are preferred (not just brand, but special models). Battery Minder makes AGM versions, two I listed above, that are on their preferred list. With that said, I never had an issue using any old battery maintainer, and it kept my Odyssey battery in a good state of charge. :)
