I have read many threads about the debate over 3 or 5 year belt services on 360's. Without the belt issue to deal with in the 430, what sort of servicing / service intervals do F-chatters follow..

Factory ,maintenance intervals have always been a tough thing for me to get my head around. For example, Porsche recommends oil changes every 24,000 kms...I do one once a year no matter how many kms I have put on it...My tech at the dealer thinks I'm a bit overboard, but shrugs it off as cheap peace of mind "if it makes you happy".

So, my question is what sort of real life maintenance intervals have 430 F-chatters been following on your cars ?

aren't 430's using a chain and not belt?
if the latter, it's 3 years, 30k miles.

Annual fluid changes are the norm in the States, I would say.

The service intervals are 5k, 15K, 30K, 45K etc. Not much to do other than fluids and inspections, occasional filter. Oil changes are recommended at 15K intervals or once a year as is brake fluid. Every two years they recommend radiator flush, gear oil, p/s fluid change. My first anual servie was a little less than $400. The second wa 1150. but included some a/c service and new air filters which I probably didn't need. I also got an alignmnet which cost way too much at the dealer. I think spark plugs are due at 30K.

The 430 should be the cheapest Ferrari built to date for maintenance. So far, the repair record is encouraging as well. I should mention, mine is a 3 pedal car. Paddle cars require somewhat more attention. I also have a 328 that is due for belts next year (sigh).
