I have searched and read all of the previous threads on lowering a 430. After reading everyone's opinion, I instructed my Ferrari dealer to lower my new Spider 14 to 15 mm. to get the car close to Euro spec ride height. The dealer did the lowering and then he realligned my car. Certainly, the car looks much better but there is considerably more clearance from the top of the tires to the fenders on the front of the car as compared to the rear. To me, the difference looks slightly odd especially when viewing the car at a 90 degree angle. I would appreciate some expert opinions regarding this difference in fender clearance between the front of the car and the rear of the car. I am concerned that the dealer did something wrong while lowering my car. HELP!!!

The front tends to look higher as it has more wheel gap due to the fact that the tires are much smaller in the front. I have to assume you have the 225 35 19 in the fronts which is the stock tire size. I believe the rears are 285 35 19.

I have after market wheels and my car is lowered...however...I have 235 35 19 in the front and 305 30 19 in the rears. The 235 in the fronts fills out the fender well better.

I have asked others as to why the fronts are so small stock and the responses I have got pertained to aerodynamics.

We just finished up Jess's F430 Spyder, what I suggest is that you ask them to lower the car per your taste rather than a *spec*. We lowered his car per his requested height front to rear.

Mine is lowered and the front lower facia hits the road (Terrible experience) so I will increase the front a little bit more, install 235,s and will try to use some rubber shock stops to prevent bottoming (part 8)

Remember to ask the dealer to re balance the 4 points of the suspension...
