Ok so my 430 Spider is having the instrument console replaced under warranty as it started a constant buzzing tone. Now I left it at the dealership, they said 2 weeks max, (during which its been 30 Celsius and still is and my CS experienced gearbox problems and is at another Ferrari dealership being repaired and 3 weeks have elapsed). I called again re the 43O today and they say it won't be finshed this week either and there is nothing they can do, Maranello does what it wants. Enough is enough, so I called the Customer Centre Center at Maranello and reported the case. They were very helpful, lets see if it makes any diff to the timeline....

So it seems Ferrari Claim they have no stock of replacement 430 instrument consoles so after 3 weeks of my 430 Spider sitting in the dealer garage they have now asked my dealer to send my unit back to Maranello for repair....!

All that downtime should be recorded and added to the warranty time remaining, correct?

IMO, just be glad it's under warranty and you aren't paying for it. Chit happens, regardless of what type of car you drive.

Sorry to hear about your problems Richard.

It seems we are all suffering from the same Ferrari aftersales problems.
It's been almost 3 months now and Ferrari in Egypt have still not repaired my F1 transmission on my F430 which is also a warranty repair.

I too had to directly contact the Middle East aftersales manager yesterday to inform him of my disappointment.

They ask us to fill in all these Customer surveys about what they are doing right and what wrong etc yet its all pretty basic, in some areas they are brilliant and some poor: My dealer notes he has another car there for a month awaiting a warranty repair too & Tarek what's wrong with your 430 ?

Ok so its a month now, the hottest month on record in Switzerland, ideal for a Spider, Ferrari tell me they have a Commercial Dispute with their supplier of 430 Instrument Consoles, I politely noted that is not my problem, its theirs, and that I expect a replacement 430 Spider by the end of the week if I don't get mine back by then, lets see....

Bad luck. Dropped my 16m at the dealer on Monday as the soft top was sagging slightly. They emailed me today, Wednesday, to say not only has a warranty repair been approved by Ferrari, but they got the saddler in, job done, car ready. So it varies.

the Auto Pierre Sudan service guys are undoubtedly the best but if Ferrari doesn't have the parts available its obviously a different matter; I am not the only guy who's car has been in Zug a month in the same situation

I had this mark wiped off the instrumentation last week under warranty.
Apparently caused by a silicone lubricate leeching in from behind the dials that lubricates a fan used to cool a computer in behind.

Ferrari were saying that they had seen it before.

Well Rob unfortunately you won't be getting a replacement soon. Ok so I once again called the Maranello main number (Ferrari.com) asked for the Customer Care centre (Alessandro or Silvia) . It seems after a dramatic search of the factory yesterday they have found one for me and will not now try and repair my original. My dealer tells me he had more emails and phone calls yesterday than for any other car this year so it would seem to work. Part is being sent by courier so I get the car back tom or Monday eve. Without this he notes that we would have been having this discussion at the end of August. So the fact that I demanded a replacement 430 spider whilst they sorted this out seems to have pressed the right buttons, as does maybe already owning 2 Ferraris.

Ok so after almost 5 weeks I have my car back with a new instrument console. When new, I initially ordered a Red Background (with Carbon Pack) despite having a Yellow one on my CS but knew as soon as I picked up the car it was a mistake as you look from the Yellow Ferrari Badge straight into a Red rev counter. So they replaced it with a Yellow one which also has black markings on the outside aluminium dial for every 1,000 Rpm, Neat. Heaven only knows how long it would have been had I not called Maranello Customer Care 4 times !

Posting on your own thread surely means I will be in a white coat and chains soon, but I am immensely pleased that I now I have a Yellow Tach, it makes a big diff.
