The material on the drivers side of my top isn't closing all the way. Is this an adjustment problem or perhaps the stiffener that's under the material there is deformed?

    Thanks.

My 360 spider top, which I believe is the identical part/mechanism to the 430, has the same issue on the passenger side. See the picture below. It doesn't lok that bad in person and is pulled more open here in the pictures. The pieces there are supposed to snug up against one another, but are not otherwise attached. Mine are a bit "loose" at the joint, and have been since I purchased my car 1 year ago.

I took my car to two top upholstery and convertible top shops here in the DC area, and both felt that it was likely not repairable. According to the one that I trust the most, the top is held taut by several steel cables, and it appears that one of them has stretched. They attempted to adjust it a little, but it did not have enough play to tighten things up.

What I was told is that they could attempt to unstitch the seam where the cables are and remove them, but they are glued in and it may not work and could destroy the top. If they can extract them, they can replace the cables since they are a very standard part. If not, it's a new top.

For now, I have elected to leave the top as is. It is a small gap in my case and doesn't really cause much of a problem. It does make for a bit more wind noise at highway speeds. I don't really ever drive in the rain or wash the car other than by hand, so no real leakage risk either. I will probably replace it sometime, but I'm in no rush. It's probably a $2500 cost to replace.

    Rich,

I have the same problem with my 360 top as well. The problem is a broken cable in the flap section of the top and it can be repaired by replacing the cable(s). I took mine to Ferrari Ft. Lauderdale and was told it is a 12 hr job plus $450 for the cables and parts. There are micro switches in the top and I didn't want anyone not familiar with this type of repair doing the work. So for about $1800 it can be repaired and it comes with 2 yr warranty. I am sure Ferrari Tampa Bay or Central Fl can fix it for you. Good luck.

Guys, it seems like previously in their life at some point the cars where washed and the roof was stowed away while still wet.
This is why the factory is adamant that the hood must be bone dry before retracted.

Carbon. Thanks a lot. Just another thing I hadn't previously seen or thought about to keep me up at night.
