Last weekend I tried to load a few CD's into the CD changer and during the process accidentally pressed the button that causes the faceplate on the radio to open up. Once I put it back in place, the stereo wouldn't turn on anymore - no big deal as I rarely use the stereo and I figured I would take care of the problem this weekend.*

Fast forward to last night and the battery was completely dead. Good way to try the factory battery charger......that also, didn't work. Ended up removing the battery and tried to charge it with a different charger - but it would not *hold a decent charge. Figured it might be a good idea*to replace the battery given that the previous owner rarely drove the car. Followed the procedure as outlined in the manual - all systems go and the car runs great. Once I turned the battery isolation switch on, the radio prompted me to enter the code. Entered the code and everything works as it should, with the exception that the volume is extremely low. With the volume turned up as loud as it goes, I could barely hear the music.
Checked the obvious (blown fuses) - but without a wiring diagram I'm not sure what to check next. Quite frankly even with a diagram seems like this might be a challenge given what the wiring around the fuse boxes behind the passenger seat looks like.......but before I punt and bring it to the dealer next week, would obviously like to try figuring this out myself. Any help/suggestions will be appreciated.

It is an 06 / 430 coupe with the HIFI subs behind the seats.

Also posted this in the 360/430 section of the forum.

You might try cleaning the connection between faceplate and radio. That's a common problem area w/ the Becker radio. You can call them also for advice. They are nice. Not the same problem, but my 360 had a problem where the radio would come on after a few minutes of driving. Turned out to be a bad ground. Once cleaned, it worked fine.

Was it the faceplate connection? If still not fixed, I wonder if we can swap faceplates from my car to test if that's the cause?
