Nah not an SE. IIRC it's a normal Gallardo with the C131 kit on it. And it looked like a pissweak start.
The 430 walked all over the Gallardo, standing start, high speed acceleration, everywhere... No wonder they released the SE.
As much as the Gallardo stood all over the 360 (CS included) and the really good bit is that the 06 is exactly the same mechanically as the SE. Bring on Alice and we can compare the SE and 430.
The 430 gained almost 100hp over the 360, the SE and '06 spec Gallardo is up what, 25hp? The Gallardo needs 550hp to rule the roost.
don't forget that the gearing is lower in the SE/06 too...that should make it get up and go a bit better
Actually that vid is over 12mths old and it was discovered the G had some aftermarket exhaust that made it loose power. Soo dont get excited over the results. And Aircon welcome to last year
Speedcore, have you found out which book had the 180 degree V12 reference ? I found one reference in "Ferrari the man the machines" but that is a tenuous reference at best ..and Aircon and I don't care if a vid is old ... so are we but we look great for our age (better than you young fellas )

Al Gore is a loser and had nothing to do with the internet despite what he thinks...actually there are internets and then there is the Internet for those of us in the comms game although today they are finally using the Internet to link their internets ... get it ?? I posted the book title and more in the other thread. And yes I know Algore didnt invent the internet, but that is part of the ongoing joke cause of his classic misquote. I do wish I had access to the other internet, but alas Im still stuck in this one Therefore anything posted that is old, is Algored.
Don't forget that the G already had 500 so it is now 520 not too far off 550, The 06 has 25kw and 50nm over the 430 as well as shorter gearing so it will be interesting is all I can say.
well you did butcher that beautiful car nearly saw some of your biker bretheren kill themselves today in the GC Hinterland, they were trying to stay ahead of me in the Eurobarge and needed to cut ALL the corners and very nearly came a gutsa doing that on BLIND crests !!!! I was thinking it will only be a matter of time also followed some good riders with pillions and we all kept the speed "sensible" but interesting the handbrake in the passenger seat stopped me overtaking the bikers
Probably for the best. I've was suckered into a bit of chase once with some bikes and was quite enjoying it until a crazy f**cker with a pillion overtook me on a blind corner. The thought of watching a rider and, worse, his pillion come to grief in front of me has put me off dicing with bikes ever since.
yeah probably right there Mark, I have come across a bunch of bikers who got creamed by a car many years ago on the Putty Rd in NSW about halfway between Singleton and Windsor (pre-mobile phone days) , lots of damaged bodies so I took off for the nearest town 30kms away only to find the cop shop closed so called the emergency services from a shop - never did find out what happened to them but don't think anyone died bikes do not corner as well as cars and pillions make it even harder to do so
