I have the opportunity to buy a Ferrari 430 that was driven in and laid up for 9 years.for a third of the current market prevailing price. Its a F1 model. What are the possible thing that can go wrong in this car and is it worth the money and effort.

This is a model specific question really I think. Ask in the 360/F430 forum/section. :)

Some of some of it depends on how it was put away, where, prep etc.
It's very hard to answer really.
I see it as more of a negative than a positive, but everything has a price.

I'd expect to put a few thousand into it, plus tires, so factor that into the price.

I am not a mechanic, but I enjoy watching Chasing Classic Cars on TV. I would think that given to a competent, thoughtful mechanic like Roger, the odds are extremely high that this engine is purring within a day and you got yourself an amazing deal.

I've heard the 430 isn't great at "Sitting"
I think some hoses can go bad.
I agree that you should ask in the 360/430 Section

If it’s cheap enough, then there’s your answer. Pretty simple logic.

If it’s $100K...then a simple and polite; no.

Isn't this the RHD car that is up for auction in Indonesia? What happened to the pics and all the other posts in this thread?
